PPA S.A. Receives Double Distinction at the “Protagonists of the Greek Economy 2026” Awards
PPA S.A. received two prestigious distinctions at the “Protagonists of the Greek Economy 2026” Awards, reaffirming its leading role in the Greek economy and its longstanding contribution to the country’s growth and development. Specifically, PPA S.A. was named Industry Leader in the Port Authorities category, an award presented to the top-performing companies in key sectors of the Greek economy based on objective financial criteria, including turnover, pre-tax profits and cash reserves. This distinction reflects the Company’s consistent growth trajectory, strong financial performance, and strategic importance to Greece’s port sector and the national economy.
In addition, PPA S.A. received the newly established Historic Enterprise distinction, a category introduced this year to recognize companies with a long-standing and significant contribution to Greek entrepreneurship. This recognition is particularly meaningful as PPA S.A. marks 96 years of continuous operation and development, approaching a century of uninterrupted contribution to Greece’s economic progress, international trade, and maritime industry.
These two distinctions recognize both PPA S.A.’s strong business performance and its remarkable historical legacy, which has established the Company as one of Greece’s leading organizations and a benchmark for the port industry across the wider region.

PPA S.A. publishes its 2025 Sustainability Report
PPA S.A. continues to invest systematically in the sustainable development and modernization of the Port of Piraeus by integrating Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles into its corporate strategy and operations. In this context, the Company has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, prepared in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), providing a transparent overview of its performance, initiatives and objectives across the three pillars of sustainability.
Throughout 2025, PPA S.A. implemented a series of key initiatives that further strengthened its responsible business strategy, contributing to the development of a modern and resilient growth model.
Under the Social pillar, the concession fee paid to the Greek State exceeded €9 million in 2025, while donations and sponsorships under the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme amounted to more than €730,000.
During 2025, PPA S.A. also held the first award ceremony for the “Kunpeng Scholarship”, granting scholarships to ten first-year university students from neighboring municipalities. In addition, the Company distributed 5,000 Christmas gift vouchers to children from the local community and to the families of employees working in the ship repair sector.
As part of its commitment to safeguarding the rights of all passengers, PPA S.A. collaborated with the Institute of the National Confederation of Disabled People & People with Chronic Diseases (IN-ESAmeA) to deliver a specialized training programme on assisting passengers with disabilities, chronic conditions and reduced mobility. More than 1,000 Company employees participated in the programme.
Under the Environmental pillar, following the introduction of Greece’s first National Climate Law and the issuance of the Company’s new Environmental Terms Approval Decision, PPA S.A. completed the Climate Change Vulnerability and Adaptation Study for the Port of Piraeus. In parallel, the implementation of a Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Action Plan covering the entire port area is underway.
Under the Governance pillar, PPA S.A. further embedded sustainability objectives into its corporate strategy, incorporated sustainability criteria into its Procurement Regulation, and implemented dedicated sustainability training programmes for both management and employees.
PPA S.A.’s consistent commitment to sustainability and operational excellence was further reflected in the distinctions it received during 2025. These included its recognition as “Industry Leader – Port Organizations” at the Protagonists of the Greek Economy Awards, the 2nd Best Public Utility Company Award at the HRIMA Business Awards 2025, three distinctions at the Compliance Awards 2025 (Gold for Best Compliance Team in the Port Services Sector, Gold for Most Impactful Social Initiative, and Bronze for Best Compliance Management), as well as its recognition, for the fourth consecutive year, as “One of the Most Sustainable Companies in Greece by QualityNet Foundation”. Of particular importance was also the ESG Leading Award distinction at the Diamonds of the Greek Economy 2025 – ESG Awards, organized by Naftemporiki.

PPA S.A.: Successfully Holds Annual General Meeting – Gross Dividend of €1.896 per Share Approved
PPA S.A. successfully held its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders today, in accordance with the applicable procedures, with shareholders representing 83.40% of the Company’s share capital participating in the meeting.
During the meeting, the agenda items were presented in detail, along with the Company’s financial and operational performance, reflecting the successful implementation of its long-term growth strategy.
The General Meeting approved, by a broad majority, all agenda items, including the Annual Financial Statements and the distribution of a dividend for the 2025 fiscal year (1 January 2025 – 31 December 2025). Following the recommendation of the Board of Directors, the gross dividend was set at €1.896 per share.
According to the 2025 Annual Financial Report, total revenue amounted to €250.8 million, representing an increase of 8.6%, or €19.9 million, compared to 2024. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) reached €132.3 million, up 2.2%, while net profit after tax amounted to €86.2 million, recording a marginal decrease of 1.5%.
These results represent the strongest revenue and EBITDA performance in the Company’s history. confirming the Company’s sustained growth trajectory for the fifth consecutive year and the continued strength of its operational and financial performance.
The Chairman of PPA S.A., Mr. Han Chao, expressed his gratitude to the shareholders for their trust and continued support. He also acknowledged the contribution of the Company’s Management and employees, whose dedication and professionalism have been instrumental in achieving these outstanding results.

Delegation of SELPE Visits Piraeus Port Authority
PPA S.A. welcomed a delegation from the Hellenic Retail Business Association (SELPE), led by the President of SELPE and PLAISIO S.A., Mr. Kostas Gerardos, to the Company’s headquarters on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. The meeting focused on matters concerning the operation of the Port of Piraeus and the prospects for further cooperation between the two entities.
The SELPE delegation was welcomed by PPA S.A.’s Deputy Chief Executive Officers, Mr. Angelos Karakostas and Mr. Panagiotis Tsonis. Discussions focused on port operations and the efficient management of cargo flows. Both parties also exchanged views on recent developments in transportation, logistics, supply chain management, and the retail sector.
The SELPE representatives were briefed on the operational capabilities and modern infrastructure of the Port of Piraeus, which plays a strategic role as a key hub for Greece and the wider Southeastern European region.
The visit also included a guided tour of the port’s key operational areas, during which participants were introduced to the port’s facilities, operational procedures, and services that support efficient cargo handling and supply chain operations.
The visit took place in a particularly positive atmosphere and reaffirmed the importance of ongoing collaboration, aiming to strengthen competitiveness, promote international outreach, and foster the sustainable development of the Greek economy.
PPA S.A. Receives the Diversity Label from the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family Affairs
Piraeus Port Authority S.A. was among the 41 major private-sector companies in Greece to receive the Diversity Label for the first time, an institutional distinction awarded by the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family Affairs, recognizing companies that implement policies and practices promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
The award ceremony took place on Thursday, 18 June 2026, at the Byzantine and Christian Museum, during a special event organized by the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family Affairs. The initiative recognizes companies that move from commitment to action, applying inclusion in everyday business practice through transparent procedures, equal opportunities, accessible processes and fair treatment of employees.
PPA S.A. was listed first among the 41 companies receiving the Diversity Label, based on the chronological order of submission finalization. For PPA S.A., this distinction confirms the Company’s continued commitment to creating a modern, safe and inclusive working environment, where all employees are treated with respect and have equal opportunities for development and progress.
The Diversity Label was received on behalf of PPA S.A. by the Company’s CEO, Mr. Su Xudong, in the presence of the Minister of Social Cohesion and Family Affairs, Ms. Domna Michailidou, the Minister of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence, Mr. Dimitris Papastergiou, and the Deputy Minister for Equality and Human Rights, Ms. Elena Rapti.
As Mr. Su stated:

PPA S.A.: Supporting HELMEPA’s mission through the creation of the new “HELMEPA HOME” in Piraeus
PPA S.A. announces with great satisfaction its cooperation with the Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association – HELMEPA, supporting the creation of the new “HELMEPA HOME” in Piraeus, a space dedicated to the sea, the marine environment, education, and the younger generation.
The agreement was signed by the CEO of PPA S.A., Mr. Su Xudong, the Deputy CEO of PPA S.A., Mr. Panagiotis Tsonis, the Chairperson of HELMEPA, Ms. Semiramis Paliou, and the Director General of HELMEPA, Ms. Olga Stavropoulou, marking a collaboration with meaningful social and environmental impact.
As part of this initiative, PPA S.A. is granting HELMEPA the use of premises at the Kastraki building in Drapetsona, making a meaningful contribution to the creation of a new, open home for the Association’s activities and programmes. The choice of Piraeus and the wider port zone carries strong symbolic value, connecting HELMEPA’s mission with the heart of Greek shipping and with a port that serves as a point of reference for the country.
The new “HELMEPA HOME” aspires to become a vibrant space for knowledge, environmental awareness, and participation. It will welcome students, young people, educators, seafarers, shipping professionals, and citizens, helping to deepen understanding of the value of the sea and the need to protect it.
For HELMEPA, this new home creates significant opportunities for the further development of its public-benefit work. It enables the Association to strengthen its educational programmes, broaden its engagement with the younger generation, and acquire a space worthy of its longstanding contribution to the protection of the marine environment.

PPA S.A. organized the 1st Compliance Brainstorming Forum, under the title: “Alliance for Compliance – United We Evolve”
This new initiative organized by the PPA’s Regulatory Compliance Unit, serves as a dynamic platform for dialogue and exchange of expertise among organizations and companies that play a decisive role in maintaining vital social functions and critical economic activities in our country, as defined within the framework of Law 5236/2025.
With a focus on collaboration and the strengthening of corporate resilience, executives in Compliance, Risk Management, Data Protection, Information Security, representatives of companies and distinguished law firms participated in a meaningful and constructive dialogue, united by the common vision of shaping a strong “compliance alliance.” Through the exchange of experiences, innovative approaches and the presentation of applied best practices, the importance of compliance was highlighted both as a strategic pillar of sustainability, transparency and responsible growth, and as a catalyst for creating added value for people, the environment, society and the economy.
The main conclusion of the event was the need for timely preparation and proactive crisis management as a fundamental pillar of operational resilience. At the same time, the importance of strategic synergies and continuous training was emphasized in order to transform the theoretical requirements of the regulatory framework into applicable policies, procedures and due diligence standards.

PPA S.A.: Dynamic and active presence at Posidonia 2026
At the opening ceremony of the prestigious Posidonia 2024 international shipping exhibition “Posidonia 2026”, the Prime Minister, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the Minister of Shipping and Insular Policy, Mr. Vasilis Kikilias, the Ambassador of China to Greece, Mr. Fang Qiu, the President of Union of Greek Shipowners, Ms. Melina Travlos, as well as other government representatives and press representatives, visited the PPA booth where they were warmly welcomed by Chairman of Piraeus Port Authority S.A., Mr. Han Chao and other executives of the Company.
During their visit to the PPA booth, they had the opportunity to be updated on the exceptional progress of the Port of Piraeus in all port activities: Cruise Terminal, Container Terminal, Car Terminal, Ship Repair Zone and Coastal Shipping, that have transformed the port into a global hub.

Visit of a Delegation from Georgia to the Port of Piraeus
On 13 May 2026, PPA S.A. welcomed a delegation from Georgia to the Port of Piraeus, headed by Ms. Tamar Ioseliani, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, who visited PPA on behalf of the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Ms. Mariam Kvrivishvili.
Ms. Ioseliani represents the Transport and Logistics portfolio within the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, a broad multi-sectoral body overseeing, among others, the areas of energy, transport, logistics, tourism and trade. The delegation also included the Ambassador of Georgia to Greece, Mr. Levan Beridze, and the Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Georgia, Mr. David Jalagania.
The visit included a tour of the port facilities and a meeting with the Deputy CEO of PPA S.A., Mr. Angelos Karakostas, during which issues of common interest in the fields of ports, transport and logistics were discussed, as well as the prospects for further cooperation in the field of port infrastructure development.
PPA S.A.: Meeting of the Chairman with the Rector of the National Technical University of Athens
The Chairman of PPA S.A., Mr. Han Chao, and the company’s Deputy CEO, Mr. Angelos Karakostas, welcomed at the headquarters of PPA S.A. the Rector of the National Technical University of Athens, Professor Ioannis Chatjigeorgiou, as well as Professor Nikolaos Ventikos from the School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering of NTUA.
The meeting took place in a highly positive climate, highlighting the potential for meaningful cooperation between port activity and academic knowledge, with the aim of leveraging expertise, strengthening innovation, and connecting education with the real economy.
During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation between PPA S.A. and the National Technical University of Athens were discussed, with emphasis on the utilization of NTUA’s scientific knowledge and expertise in areas linked to the contemporary needs of the port and maritime industry. The discussion also focused on the possibility of connecting students with real-life applications and market challenges, contributing to the transition from theory to practice.
On behalf of PPA S.A., it was emphasized that the Port remains steadily focused on upgrading its services, including through partnerships with the academic community. In this context, the two sides discussed the exploration of suitable projects and joint actions, as well as the possibility for PPA to act as a platform connecting NTUA with Chinese shipping companies, further enhancing extroversion and the exchange of know-how.
Both sides agreed to continue their communication and move forward in the coming period towards a more institutionalized cooperation, through the development of a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation.
