The Hellenic Paralympic Committee awarded COSCO Shipping Charity Foundation as major sponsor
On Wednesday, February 6th 2019, took place the 20th anniversary celebration of the Hellenic Paralympic Committee (H.P.C) at the Megaron, in the presence of the President of the International Paralympic Committee, Andrew Parson, where participated the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of PPA S.A. Captain Weng Lin and other executives of the company.
During the event, were awarded the top athletes in the Paralympic Games, sponsors and supporters of the H.P.C. Among them, COSCO Shipping Charity Foundation was awarded as major sponsor.
Upon receipt of the award, the Deputy CEO of PPA S.A. Captain Weng Lin, stated:“We recognize the remarkable efforts of the Hellenic Paralympic Committee and we encourage them to go on because we feel that they contribute to the creation of a society in which disabled persons enjoy the same rights with all the other people and they have access and can easily take part not only in sports but in all activities of daily life. Ελληνική Παραολυμπιακή Επιτροπή: Βράβευσε τo COSCO Shipping Charity Foundation ως μεγάλο χορηγό
Η Ελληνική Παραολυμπιακή Επιτροπή (Ε.Π.Ε.) πραγματοποίησε την Τετάρτη, 06.02.2019, εκδήλωση για τον Εορτασμό των 20 ετών από την ίδρυσή της, στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Αθηνών, παρουσία του προέδρου της Διεθνούς Παραολυμπιακής Επιτροπής, Άντριου Πάρσονς, όπου συμμετείχαν ο Αναπληρωτής Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της ΟΛΠ Α.Ε. Captain Weng Lin και άλλα στελέχη της εταιρείας.
Κατά την εκδήλωση τιμήθηκαν οι διακριθέντες αθλητές σε Παραολυμπιακούς Αγώνες, οι χορηγοί και οι υποστηρικτές της Ε.Π.Ε. Μεταξύ αυτών βραβεύτηκε και η COSCO Shipping Charity Foundation ως μεγάλος χορηγός.
Ο Αναπληρωτής Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της ΟΛΠ Α.Ε., Captain Weng Lin, κατά την παραλαβή του βραβείου, δήλωσε:«Αναγνωρίζουμε τις αξιόλογες προσπάθειες της Ελληνικής Παραολυμπιακής Επιτροπής και την ενθαρρύνουμε να συνεχίσει το έργο της γιατί αισθανόμαστε ότι συμβάλλει στη δημιουργία μιας κοινωνίας στην οποία τα άτομα με αναπηρία απολαμβάνουν τα ίδια δικαιώματα με όλους τους άλλους πολίτες, ενώ έχουν πρόσβαση και μπορούν εύκολα να συμμετέχουν όχι μόνο στον αθλητισμό αλλά και σε όλες τις δραστηριότητες της καθημερινής ζωής. COSCO Shipping Holdings Raises USD 1.1 Bn
Hong Kong-listed COSCO SHIPPING Holdings Co., flagship of China Ocean Shipping Company, has raised USD 1.1 billion (RMB 7.7 billion) from a private share offering.
The net proceeds were lower from the initial plan under which COSCO Shipping Holdings was aiming to collect RMB 15 billion (USD 2.1 billion).
The private share offering raised interest from nine private investors.
After completion of the proposed non-public issuance of A shares, COSCO directly holds 4.5 billion of A shares and indirectly holds 87 million of H shares through Peaktrade Investments Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) Co.
As such COSCO holds 4.6 billion shares in total, representing 37.89% of the enlarged total issued share capital in the company, and is the direct controlling shareholder.
As informed earlier, the company plans to use to net proceeds to fund 20 boxships under construction, six of which would have a capacity of over 21,200 TEU.
