ARAG SE: Dr. Renko Dirksen appointed as Chairman of the Management Board

The Supervisory Board of ARAG SE has appointed Dr. Renko Dirksen (47) as Chairman of the Management Board of the company, effective July 1, 2025. Dr. Renko Dirksen has been Speaker of the Management Board of ARAG SE since July 2020.
“With this appointment, the Supervisory Board acknowledges the very successful development of ARAG SE in recent years,” explains the Chairman of the Supervisory Board and majority shareholder of ARAG SE, Dr. Dr. h. c. Paul-Otto Faßbender.
Simultaneously with Dr. Paul-Otto Faßbender’s withdrawal from operational business in July 2020, the Supervisory Board entrusted the leadership of ARAG SE to the Management Board team with Dr. Renko Dirksen as speaker. The responsibilities and duties of the other Management Board departments and the six-member board remain unaffected by the appointment. “We continue to rely on the well-established Management Board team, which can count on the full support of the owners and the Supervisory Board for its work,” emphasizes Dr. Paul-Otto Faßbender.Dr. Renko Dirksen joined ARAG in 2005 and has been a member of the Management Board of ARAG SE since 2015.
Nicolas Namias appointed Chairman of the Groupe BPCE Management Board

During its meeting under the Chairmanship of Thierry Cahn, the Groupe BPCE Supervisory Board decided unanimously to appoint Nicolas Namias as Chairman of the Groupe BPCE Management Board in replacement of Laurent Mignon as of December 3, 2022
The Supervisory Board would like to thank the members of the Appointments Committee for their valuable input throughout this process that made it possible to attract applications from high-quality candidates, all from Group companies.
The Supervisory Board extends once again its warmest thanks to Laurent Mignon for his exceptional commitment over the past 14 years to serving the Group, its clients and all its employees. The next few weeks will be devoted to the implementation of the transition within BPCE.

Biography of Nicolas Namias, new Chairman of the Groupe BPCE Management Board
Nicolas Namias began his career in 2004 in the Treasury department of France’s Ministry for the Economy and Finance. He was initially in charge of preparing international financial summits, before being appointed as the government’s substitute commissioner to the French financial market regulator AMF.
In 2008, he joined Groupe BPCE, where he became the Group’s Head of Steering for Commercial Banking and Insurance. In 2012, he was appointed Advisor to the Prime Minister for financing the economy, corporates and international economic affairs.
Nicolas Namias returned to Groupe BPCE in 2014 as Head of Strategy and subsequently Chief Financial Officer of Natixis and member of the Senior Management Committee. In 2018, he became member of the Groupe BPCE Management Board, firstly as Chief Financial & Strategy Officer and later in August 2020 as Chief Executive Officer of Natixis.
Nicolas Namias, 46, is a former student of France’s Ecole Nationale d’Administration, and a graduate of Stanford Graduate School of Business (executive program), ESSEC Business School and Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris.
Stefan Simon and Alexander von zur Muehlen join DB’s Management Board

As already announced, the Management Board of Deutsche Bank has two additional members as of August 1, 2020: Stefan Simon and Alexander von zur Muehlen. Von zur Muehlen takes on the role as our bank’s Asia Pacific CEO, succeeding Werner Steinmueller who held this position for four years. Stefan Simon remains Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and thus responsible for relations with the supervisory authorities, regulators and key policymakers (Government & Regulatory Affairs) as well as for the entities of Legal and Governance, which he took over from Karl von Rohr.
Stefan Simon was a member of Deutsche Bank’s Supervisory Board from August 2016 until July 31, 2019 and was Chairman of its Integrity Committee. He is a lawyer and tax consultant and a former partner at Flick Gocke Schaumburg. Since his appointment in July 2019, he has worked for the bank as a Senior Group Director in the relevant departments. In the meantime, regulatory approval has been granted for his move onto the Management Board.
Alexander von zur Muehlen joined Deutsche Bank in 1998 after studying business management. Following a variety of roles in investment banking, lastly as Co-Head of Debt Capital Markets in Europe, he was appointed Group Treasurer in 2009. In this function he managed the bank’s capital, liquidity and funding. In 2017 he was appointed Co-Head of Global Capital Markets and one year later named Global Head of Group Strategy, in summer 2018. In this function he played a key role in preparing the strategy that was announced in summer 2019.
HDI Global adds Zurich’s Yves Betz to management board

HDI Global SE has announced the appointment of Yves Betz to its management board, who will take over responsibility for the company’s business in Europe and North and South America.
As of 1 December 2019, he will succeed Stefan Sigulla, who is stepping down as part of a continued “generation change” in the management board, HDI Global said.
Betz joins from Zurich Insurance Company, where he most recently served as a member of the German management board and was in charge of the German Commercial Insurance business.
His previous positions at Zurich included Head of Commercial Insurance Mexico, Chief Operating Officer for Industrial Customer Business in Asia Pacific, and Head of Captive Related Business in Spain.
“We are looking forward to working with Yves Betz,” said Edgar Puls, Chairman of the Management Board of HDI Global.” He is a very experienced manager with an international profile and he will enrich our Management Board due to his international expertise and his broad experience in commercial insurance.”

With the appointment of Betz, Jens Wohlthat will also take responsibility for the Liability Line, while continuing to head international business in the regions of Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Russia.
From December, the management board will also consist of: Frank Harting, Industry Division, Group Division, Aviation Insurance; David Hullin, Property and Fire Insurance, Engineering Insurance, Marine Insurance, Motor Insurance, HDI Risk Consulting; Clemens Jungsthöfel, Chief Financial Officer; and Thomas Kuhnt, IT Demand, Operations, Technical Pricing, IP Adminstrations, Group Accident Insurance, Major Projects.
