Howden acquires Cybeta platform to deliver enhanced cyber insurance solutions for US Clients

Howden has announced it has acquired the intellectual property assets of Cybeta, LLC (“Cybeta”), a leading cyber data and analytics provider. The acquisition enables Howden to provide clients with faster, more precise insight into cyber risk, supporting better underwriting, placement, and claims outcomes.
Cybeta was founded in 2019 by a team of data science experts with experience in the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence communities to help businesses predict and prevent cyber attacks.
In addition to the acquisition, former members of Cybeta’s team also join Howden, bringing deep expertise in proactive, expert-driven cyber threat intelligence and predictive analytics to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks before they become breaches. This capability enables Howden to translate client cyber risk data into individualized, real-time risk profiles and improve insurability.
This acquisition follows the launch of Howden’s U.S. Cyber practice in January 2026, which supports clients across all aspects of cyber insurance including strategy, client service, brokerage, product development, claims and cyber risk consulting. By combining specialist advisory expertise with proprietary analytics, Howden is continuing to strengthen its ability to help clients navigate complex cyber insurance risk exposures.
Mike Parrish, CEO, Howden Americas, said: “We are investing aggressively in data, analytics, and cyber expertise, all aligned to clients’ most pressing concerns. Cybeta technology adds to that triple threat, deepening our capability to deliver meaningful insights with the urgency clients feel when it comes to cyber risk. Sector bellwethers like Juliet White and Ron Borys – who was instrumental in making this acquisition happen – are building a truly differentiated offering for clients. Much more innovation comes from these leaders and Howden’s Cyber practice.”
Juliet White, Head of Cyber, Howden US, said: “Clients with complex cyber exposures increasingly expect reliable, data-driven insight to support critical risk decisions. Cybeta’s outstanding data and analytics platform puts our clients first and deepens our advisory approach. Through the expanded solutions clients will gain a full picture of their cyber risk profile and make better informed insurance and risk management choices.”
Ron Borys, Head of Financial Lines, Howden US, said: “Cyber threats continue to evolve and remain a top risk concern for senior executives across all industries. Cybeta enhances our cyber offering by providing clients direct access to highly trained professionals with decades of experience monitoring and assessing complex cyber threats against highly targeted networks containing sensitive and valuable assets and data. This combination of highly trained and experienced professionals along with Cybeta’s proprietary cyber risk modelling and analytics technology enables Howden to deliver truly bespoke cyber risk insights that directly support and inform clients’ risk management decisions.

Howden to acquire Hymans Robertson’s Insurance and Financial Services Consulting Team (“IFS team”) forming Howden Insurance Actuarial and Longevity Practice

Howden, the global insurance intermediary group, has agreed to acquire the Insurance and Financial Services Consulting Team (“IFS team”) of Hymans Robertson LLP, strengthening its specialist insurance actuarial and longevity consulting capabilities.
The transaction marks the formal launch of Howden Insurance Actuarial & Longevity (Howden IAL). The new practice brings together two established teams: the Hymans Robertson IFS specialists and the insurance actuarial and longevity experts who joined Howden through the Barnett Waddingham (BW) transition.
Howden IAL will give clients access to deeper expertise, clearer technical insight and a more scaled advisory platform. It combines BW’s longstanding strength in delivering outsourced insurance actuarial services and consultancy with the Hymans IFS team’s experience supporting insurers with strategically important actuarial and risk projects, creating a best‑in‑class adviser for core insurance actuarial and longevity needs.
The formation of Howden IAL expands the range of markets and clients served across Howden’s global platform, supporting the group’s ambition to build a market‑leading insurance advisory capability with international reach.
Across the combined practice, Howden IAL will offer insurers support on pricing, capital allocation, reserving, risk and investment strategy, model validation, ALM and the management of longevity risk. The team’s collective experience will enable insurers to navigate increasingly complex regulatory, capital and market environments with more confidence and stronger specialist support.
The formation of Howden IAL brings together a team of around 90 specialist consultants, significantly increasing their capacity to support insurers across the full spectrum of insurance actuarial and longevity needs and creates new opportunities for colleagues joining Howden, reflecting the Group’s investment in high‑quality actuarial and risk talent.
Glenn Thomas, CEO and Global Practice Leader, Health & Employee Benefits, Howden, said: “This is an important development for our business and for the market. By bringing together BW’s longstanding insurance actuarial capability with the Hymans Robertson IFS team’s proven expertise in delivering strategically critical projects, we are creating a best‑in‑class advisory proposition for clients. This move is not just about capability; it is also about people. By uniting two high‑quality teams, we are investing in their long‑term development and strengthening our ability to support clients with deeper insight and a more distinctive proposition.”
Scott Eason, Managing Partner, Howden Insurance Actuarial & Longevity, said: “Today is a milestone moment for our business. By uniting two outstanding teams, we are creating an advisory capability with the breadth and depth to support every critical client need across the insurance landscape. This is a significant step in Howden’s long‑term ambition to build a world‑class insurance advisory practice.”
Jon Hatchett, Senior Partner, Hymans Robertson LLP said: “We are proud of the strength and reputation of our IFS team and are confident that the newly formed team’s combined skills and Howden’s global reach will deliver a broader service offering for insurance clients. At Hymans Robertson, as an independent partnership, and Club Vita, we’ll continue to focus on our long-term plans across the pensions, risk transfer, investment and retail wealth markets, where we see great opportunities for innovation with our clients.”
The transaction is expected to complete in the spring of 2026.

Howden strengthens partnership with Emirates GBR SailGP Team as Tier 2 Global Partner

Howden today announces the elevation of its partnership with the Emirates Great Britain SailGP Team (“Emirates GBR”) to Tier 2 Global Partner, marking an enhanced commitment for the remaining two years of the partnership.
This upgraded partnership underscores the strong strategic alignment between Howden and Emirates GBR, bringing together two organisations driven by ambition, innovation and performance. Howden joined Emirates GBR at the start of the Rolex SailGP Championship 2025 Season, during which the team made history by completing an unprecedented treble: winning the Season Championship, SailGP’s Impact League, and finishing top of the overall points leaderboard.
That momentum has carried into 2026. The 2026 Rolex SailGP Championship marks the league’s most ambitious calendar to date, featuring 13 events across five continents over 12 months.
As a Tier 2 Global Partner, Howden will see increased brand visibility across the SailGP calendar, showcasing its expertise across Marine, Sport & Entertainment and Specialty to a global audience. The partnership reflects Howden’s role as a trusted partner delivering meaningful outcomes for clients and communities alike.
Beyond elite performance, the partnership is united by a shared commitment to environmental stewardship, diversity and social impact. As back-to-back winners of SailGP’s Impact League, Emirates GBR continues to deliver positive change on and off the water, inspiring the next generation through collaboration and innovation.
A key example of this shared purpose is Howden’s support of the STEM Crew Live event, delivered through Emirates GBR’s Purpose Partner, the 1851 Trust, at the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix in Portsmouth in July 2025. The programme engaged 120 local students, using the science of high-performance sport to spark interest in STEM subjects and broaden future career pathways.
Richard Haines, Divisional CEO, Howden Specialty, said: “We are extremely proud to have become a Tier 2 Global Partner with Emirates GBR. We’re two brands with much in common – we’re passionate about what we do, we believe in the power of teamwork and together we’re ambitious to make a global impact. Whether that means competing on the world stage or inspiring young people to push the boundaries through our work with the 1851 Trust in Portsmouth. Already the season’s shaping up to be a thriller, with a fine win for Emirates GBR in Perth and we are backing the team to go all the way in 2026.”
Sir Ben Ainslie, CEO of Emirates GBR, echoed this sentiment: “We are delighted to elevate our partnership with Howden following a hugely successful first year together, both on and off the water. From the very beginning, it was clear that our values aligned as we collaborated to deliver a wide range of purpose-driven events spanning business, education, and sport. On the water, Howden’s expertise in insuring our F50 race boat provides the confidence and security that allows the team to focus entirely on performance and winning at the highest level of SailGP.”
