Qatar Insurance’s Salem Al Mannai Named Among Forbes Middle East’s Top CEOs 2025
Forbes Middle East has named Salem Al Mannai, Group CEO of Qatar Insurance (QIC), as one of its “Top 100 CEOs in the Middle East,” notably, the only leader from the region’s insurance sector to earn a place in this year’s ranking.
The 2025 list highlights CEOs who are redefining the region’s power corridors through business performance and contributions to national development, industry transformation, and global competitiveness. This year’s edition emphasizes the Middle East’s accelerating focus on diversification, artificial intelligence, and sustainability, areas in which QIC has made notable progress under Al Mannai’s leadership.
Commenting on the recognition, Al Mannai said: “This ranking reflects the momentum we have built as a company and as a team. At QIC, we are shaping an insurance model that is digitally advanced, globally relevant, and anchored in sustainable impact. QIC has strengthened Qatar’s position as a regional innovation hub by leading and organizing two major industry events in Doha: the MENA Insurtech Summit, now in its fourth edition, and the inaugural MENA Fintech Summit. Together, these platforms brought global and regional leaders to Qatar and showcased QIC’s commitment to advancing the country’s innovation agenda, diversification goals, and international relevance.
QIC’s sustainability achievements further contributed to Al Mannai’s recognition. The insurer became the first in the Middle East to sign the UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative’s Principles for Sustainable Insurance and currently holds MSCI’s highest ESG rating of AAA. These efforts are supported by a dedicated ESG Committee that drives climate-risk transparency, responsible underwriting, and sustainable investment. QIC’s climate commitments also include the One Million Tree Initiative, an ambitious nationwide reforestation project launched in partnership with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.
Sun Life receives workplace recognition awards from TIME and Forbes
Sun Life U.S. has been named one of TIME Magazine’s Best Employers for Future Leaders, and globally one of Forbes’ World’s Top Companies for Women in 2023. The recognitions add to several others recently awarded to Sun Life U.S., including top workplace awards from the Boston Globe (our sixth year), Hartford Courant (our third year), Baltimore Sun (our first year) and Top Workplaces USA (our third year).

Πλουσιότερος μάνατζερ του κόσμου παραμένει ο Αμερικανός μάνατζερ παικτών του μπέιζμπολ, Σκοτ Μπόρας, σύμφωνα με την ετήσια λίστα που παρουσίασε το αμερικανικό περιοδικό Forbes.
Ο Μπόρας μέσα στο 2018 είχε τη δυνατότητα να εισπράξει περίπου 105 εκατομμύρια δολάρια σε προμήθειες, για ένα σύνολο συμβολαίων αξίας 1,9 δισεκατομμυρίων δολαρίων, ενώ είναι χαρακτηριστικό πως έχει εννέα παίκτες με συμβόλαια αξίας άνω των 100 εκατομμυρίων δολαρίων.
Στον κόσμο του ποδοσφαίρου, κορυφαίος εξακολουθεί να είναι ο Ζόρζε Μέντες, που σε σύγκριση με το 2017 ανεβαίνει μια θέση και περνάει δεύτερος, με συμβόλαια αξίας 1 δισ. και 100 εκατομμύρια δολάρια σε προμήθειες, σύμφωνα με το Forbes.
Στο top 10 της κατάταξης βρίσκονται ακόμη τρεις μάνατζερ που σχετίζονται κυρίως με το ποδόσφαιρο. Ο Τζόναθαν Μπαρνέτ του Ομίλου Stellar (79,5 εκατ. προμήθειες και συνολική αξία συμβολαίων 795 εκατομμύρια ευρώ) που πέρασε στην τρίτη θέση. Πέμπτος είναι ο Μίνο Ραϊόλα, με προμήθειες 62,9 εκατ. δολάρια και συμβόλαια 629 εκατομμύρια δολάρια, ενώ ο Βόλκερ Στρουτς (μάνατζερ μεταξύ άλλων των Μάρκο Ρόις, Μάριο Γκέτσε και Τόνι Κροος) ανέβηκε στην όγδοη θέση με 46,4 εκατομμύρια προμήθειες.
Συνολικά, μεταξύ των 50 πλουσιοτέρων μάνατζερ στη λίστα Forbes, κυριαρχεί το μπέιζμπολ (με 13 μάνατζερ) και ακολουθείται από το μπάσκετ (11), το ποδόσφαιρο (8), το αμερικάνικο ποδόσφαιρο (8), το χόκεϊ (7), το τένις (1) και το γκολφ (1).
Όσον αφορά στις εταιρείες managing, στην κορυφή της λίστας του Forbes είναι η Creative Artists Agency, με προμήθειες 350 εκατομμύρια δολάρια και συμβόλαια συνολικής αξίας 9,4 δισεκατομμυρίων δολαρίων. Πίσω της είναι η Wasserman, με 175 εκατομμύρια προμήθειες και 3,7 δισ. συνολική αξία συμβολαίων και τις θέσεις στο βάθρο «κλείνει» η Excel Sports Management, με κύριο αθλητή τον Tiger Woods, προμήθειες 168 εκατομμύρια και συμβόλαια 3,4 δισεκατομμυρίων.
