Everest Reinsurance Names Mayur Doshi Head of North America Treaty Casualty
Everest Reinsurance, the reinsurance division of Everest Group, announced the appointment of Mayur Doshi as Head of North America Treaty Casualty, reporting to Jiten Voralia, Head of North America Treaty Reinsurance.

Mr. Doshi joined Everest in 2019 as Vice President, U.S. Treaty Casualty, from The Navigators Group, where he was responsible for treaty and facultative reinsurance purchasing across the Company’s long-tail lines of business.Mr. Doshi spent more than a decade with Odyssey Reinsurance Company, most recently as serving as Senior Casualty and Facultative Underwriter. He has also held positions of increasing responsibility with Swiss Re, among other major firms. Mr. Doshi holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Connecticut and serves as a Director on the Intermediaries & Reinsurance Underwriters Association (IRUA) Board.

Everest Reinsurance Division Establishes Unified Global Specialties Business to Meet Increasing Market Demand
Everest Reinsurance, the reinsurance division of Everest Group, Ltd. (NYSE: EG), has established a dedicated Global Specialties business, bringing its deep expertise and offerings across Aviation, Marine, Cyber, Engineering, and Parametric Solutions under the leadership of Phil Taylor, who has been appointed Head of Global Specialties. Mr. Taylor will report to Jill Beggs, Head of North America and Global Specialty Reinsurance.
Everest Reinsurance Division Promotes Harald Jacobsen and Mark Wallace to Key International Leadership Roles
Everest Reinsurance, the reinsurance division of Everest Re Group, Ltd. (NYSE: RE) announced the promotions of two key leadership roles in its International division. Harald Jacobsen has been appointed Senior Vice President, Head of Continental Europe, and pending regulatory approval, he will also assume the role of Branch Manager Zurich of Everest Reinsurance Company Ireland dac. Harald will be based in Zurich and reporting to Artur Klinger, Head of International Reinsurance. Mark Wallace has been appointed Vice President, Head of Longtail and Deputy CUO, reporting to Paul Tester, Head of UK Branch and Chief Underwriting Officer.

In his new role, Harald will oversee Everest’s reinsurance business across Continental Europe, including specialty classes Marine and Credit & Surety. He will also be responsible for extending the specialty class offerings to clients outside the continent, creating synergies across the international business units. Harald joined Everest in 2021 as Head of Western Europe & Property where he successfully built the reinsurance team and focused on strengthening the company’s property underwriting in Europe. Prior to Everest, he led the Zurich Office of Chubb Tempest Re where he oversaw its profitable international property book. Harald began his career in reinsurance as underwriter for NewRe in Geneva writing UK, Irish and Nordic business. He holds a business degree from the Queensland University of Technology.
In his new role, Mark will focus on further diversifying Everest’s Casualty and Motor portfolios. Previously, as Everest’s Senior Casualty Underwriter, Mark played a key role in the growth of the London Casualty Treaty portfolio, with a proven track record for developing high performing teams. Prior to joining Everest, Mark spent nearly a decade at Hiscox as Head of Pricing for Specialty classes where he was focused on a broad range of classes of business. He holds a History degree from Royal Holloway University of London and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.

Catherine Rudow to Join Everest Reinsurance Division as Global Head of Cyber Reinsurance
Everest Reinsurance, the reinsurance division of Everest Re Group, Ltd. (NYSE: RE) announced Catherine Rudow will join the company as Global Head of Cyber Reinsurance, reporting to Jill Beggs, Head of North America Reinsurance.
In this newly created role, Catherine will be responsible for managing Everest’s Cyber reinsurance business while driving consistent underwriting best practices and guidelines across the division globally. She will also focus on cultivating both new and existing broker and customer relationships and working to establish customized reinsurance solutions that keep pace with the evolving cyber risk landscape.

Catherine brings deep reinsurance and insurance cyber underwriting experience and has expertise managing portfolios of cyber business, developing and executing on cyber-specific strategies and establishing industry-wide connections. Most recently, Catherine served as a Vice President for Nationwide E&S where she executed on a Cyber Strategy for Nationwide Enterprise resulting in portfolio diversification and product expansion. Prior to that, she held several leadership roles at Partner Reinsurance Company of the US. Catherine holds a Master of Business Administration from Yale University and undergraduate degree from Concordia University.

Kevin Bogardus Joins Everest Reinsurance Division as Head of Business Development for the Asia Pacific Region
Everest Reinsurance, the reinsurance division of Everest Re Group, Ltd. announced Kevin Bogardus will join the company as Senior Vice President, Head of Business Development Asia Pacific, effective September 8, 2022. He will be based in Singapore and report to Artur Klinger, Head of International Reinsurance.
In this newly created role, Kevin will lead the expansion into the Asia Pacific region, focused on growing and diversifying the reinsurance business across Asia, developing new client and broker relationships, and identifying growth opportunities in emerging Asian economies.

Kevin brings to Everest nearly three decades of experience building and leading successful insurance businesses in Asia at major global insurance and reinsurance companies. Most recently, he was Country President at Chubb Singapore, and also served as Country President for Chubb China where he oversaw ACE’s acquisition of Chubb and led the company’s expansion with two new branches in Beijing and Guangzhou. Prior to that, Kevin established a first of its kind direct insurance underwriting syndicate for ACE within Lloyd’s China and there served as Chief Advisor and Board Director for Huatai P&C Insurance Co. Ltd. He graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University where he double majored in International Relations and Asian Studies.

Brent Hoffman to Join Everest Reinsurance as Head of Claims and Chief Operations Officer
Everest Reinsurance, the reinsurance division of Everest Re Group, Ltd. announced Brent Hoffman will join the company as Senior Vice President, Head of Claims and Chief Operations Officer at the end of July. He will report directly to Jim Williamson, Everest Group Chief Operating Officer and Head of Reinsurance.
Hoffman will have dual responsibility for overseeing key aspects of business operations and leading the global Reinsurance Claims function. His deep technical expertise will help to drive operational efficiencies and best practices consistently across the organization.

Hoffman comes to Everest with more than 25 years of industry and legal experience and a proven track record for managing high-performing teams. Most recently, he was AXA XL’s Chief Claims Officer, responsible for leading its global claims strategy and operations to support claims excellence across multiple business lines and geographies. Prior to joining AXA XL, Hoffman held several leadership positions at The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., where he led teams responsible for claims, litigation, and settlement strategies. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Gettysburg College and a Juris Doctor from The Dickinson School of Law. Hoffman currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the RAND Institute for Civil Justice and the Board of Trustees for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford.
Jim Williamson, Executive Vice President & Group Chief Operating Officer, Assumes Additional Responsibilities as Head of the Everest Reinsurance Division
Everest Re Group, Ltd. (“Everest”) announced that Jim Williamson, Executive Vice President and Group Chief Operating Officer will assume additional responsibilities as the Head of the Everest Reinsurance Division effective immediately.
Mr. Williamson succeeds John Doucette, who is leaving the Company to pursue other opportunities.
The appointment of Mr. Williamson to lead Everest’s Reinsurance Division furthers the Company’s focus on profitably growing a balanced and diversified reinsurance and insurance portfolio, underpinned by relentless execution, to maximize shareholder returns and deliver superior earnings and book value per share growth over time.

Jim Williamson joined Everest in 2020 as the Group Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Williamson began his insurance career as a casualty underwriter at The Hartford. Over the years, at The Hartford, Chubb, and now Everest, he has worked in all aspects of the P&C commercial and consumer lines industry both in the U.S. and internationally running large and successful businesses. He has also had functional responsibilities for actuarial, technology, and claims organizations during his career.
Mr. Williamson holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. from Bryant College.
