Diana Shipping Inc. Announces Time Charter Contract for m/v Semirio With C Transport Inc.
Diana Shipping Inc., a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with C Transport Maritime Ltd., Bermuda, for one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels, the m/v Semirio. The gross charter rate is US$19,700 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period until minimum August 15, 2023 up to maximum November 15, 2023. The charter is expected to commence on December 9, 2021. The m/v Semirio is currently chartered, as previously announced, to SwissMarine Pte Ltd., Singapore, at a gross charter rate of US$13,500 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties.
The “Semirio” is a 174,261 dwt Capesize dry bulk vessel built in 2007.
The employment of “Semirio” is anticipated to generate approximately US$11.94 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.
Diana Shipping Inc.’s fleet currently consists of 36 dry bulk vessels (4 Newcastlemax, 12 Capesize, 5 Post-Panamax, 5 Kamsarmax and 10 Panamax). The Company also expects to take delivery of one Kamsarmax dry bulk vessel by the end of February 2022. As of today, the combined carrying capacity of the Company’s fleet, excluding the one vessel not yet delivered, is approximately 4.6 million dwt with a weighted average age of 10.69 years. Diana Shipping Inc., a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with C Transport Maritime Ltd., Bermuda, for one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels, the m/v Boston. The gross charter rate is US$25,500 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period until minimum April 15, 2022 up to maximum June 15, 2022. The charter is expected to commence on June 15, 2021. The m/v Boston is currently chartered, as previously announced, to Oldendorff Carriers GmbH & Co. KG, Lübeck, Germany, at a gross charter rate of US$15,300 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties.
The “Boston” is a 177,828 dwt Capesize dry bulk vessel built in 2007.
The employment of “Boston” is anticipated to generate approximately US$7.65 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.
Upon completion of the previously announced sale of one Panamax dry bulk vessel, the m/v Naias, Diana Shipping Inc.’s fleet will consist of 36 dry bulk vessels (4 Newcastlemax, 12 Capesize, 5 Post-Panamax, 5 Kamsarmax and 10 Panamax). As of today, the combined carrying capacity of the Company’s fleet, including the m/v Naias, is approximately 4.7 million dwt with a weighted average age of 10.31 years.
Diana Shipping Inc. Announces Time Charter Contracts for m/v Santa Barbara With Cargill and m/v Salt Lake City With C Transport
Diana Shipping Inc., a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with Cargill International S.A., Geneva, for one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels, the m/v Santa Barbara. The gross charter rate is US$17,250 per day, minus a 4.75% commission paid to third parties, for a period until minimum January 5, 2022 up to maximum March 5, 2022. The charter is expected to commence tomorrow.
The “Santa Barbara” is a 179,426 dwt Capesize dry bulk vessel built in 2015.
The Company also announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with C Transport Maritime Ltd., Bermuda, for one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels, the m/v Salt Lake City. The gross charter rate is US$13,000 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period until minimum April 1, 2022 up to maximum June 30, 2022. The charter is expected to commence tomorrow.
The “Salt Lake City” is a 171,810 dwt Capesize dry bulk vessel built in 2005.
The employments of “Santa Barbara” and “Salt Lake City” are anticipated to generate approximately US$11.89 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charters.
Upon completion of the previously announced sales of two Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Coronis and the m/v Oceanis, and one Capesize dry bulk vessel, the m/v Sideris GS, Diana Shipping Inc.’s fleet will consist of 37 dry bulk vessels (4 Newcastlemax, 12 Capesize, 5 Post-Panamax, 5 Kamsarmax and 11 Panamax). As of today, the combined carrying capacity of the Company’s fleet, including the m/v Coronis, the m/v Oceanis and the m/v Sideris GS, is approximately 5.0 million dwt with a weighted average age of 10.26 years.
Diana Shipping Inc. Announces Time Charter Contract for m/v Houston With C Transport
Diana Shipping Inc., a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, today announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with C Transport Maritime Ltd., Bermuda, for one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels, the m/v Houston, for a period until minimum July 1, 2021 up to maximum September 30, 2021. The gross charter rate is US$6,250 per day for the first thirty (30) days of the charter period and US$12,400 per day for the balance of the time charter, in each case minus a 5% commission paid to third parties. The charter commenced earlier today.
The “Houston” is a 177,729 dwt Capesize dry bulk vessel built in 2009.
This employment is anticipated to generate approximately US$5.25 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.
