Bureau Veritas streamlines vessel and fleet compliance and performance with the launch of its new smart hub, MOVE

Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore (BV M&O) has launched a new smart hub, “MOVE by Bureau Veritas”, at the SMM maritime conference in Hamburg, Germany. Currently available for shipowners, MOVE is designed to integrate various maritime digital applications, helping reduce operational complexity by enabling fast, informed decision-making on asset compliance and performance.
MOVE offers shipowners a streamlined classification experience, allowing them to manage their fleet throughout their lifecycle, and analyze data from a single interface. This will enable users to manage their assets throughout early design, construction and operation.
MOVE is highly customizable and can be adapted to a client’s individual specifications, whilst also having the ability to continue to evolve with the asset, in light of more sophisticated digital tools and processes being introduced to the vessel in the future.
Through MOVE’s app drawer, users can access all of BV M&O’s classification, statutory and technical advisory applications, as well as partner solutions. The new platform builds on the offer of VeriSTAR Info with two new applications for shipowners:
Fleet in Service: Developed in collaboration with shipowners, “Fleet in Service” provides a visual and intuitive real-time fleet compliance overview to enable fast and accurate situation assessments. “Fleet in Service” can also be used to take action specific to the asset’s needs, such as requesting surveys and taking post-corrective steps.Connect your Systems: “Connect your Systems” facilitates the connection of client systems to accelerate the flow of high volumes of data between shipowners and BV M&O, saving time and improving efficiency.
BV M&O is continuously updating and improving MOVE, with new functionalities to be added over the coming months. MOVE is currently available to shipowners and Flag Authorities, and it will be progressively expanded to other profiles, including shipyards, designers, and equipment manufacturers. These users will also benefit from a tailored profile and selection of applications.

Singapore’s first hybrid electric ship classed by Bureau Veritas

Bureau Veritas (BV), a world leader in testing, inspection, and certification (TIC), has certified and classed Singapore’s first hybrid-powered ship. Built, owned and operated by Singapore-based Penguin Shipyard International, a subsidiary of Penguin International Limited (“Penguin”), Penguin Tenaga is a 15-meter, 12-passenger aluminum pilot boat capable of entirely running in electric mode at five knots for more than 30 minutes, and in conventional diesel mode can reach a maximum speed of 24 knots.
The vessel design is based on the same hull form as two of Penguin’s existing monohull pilot boats that are currently operating for Shell Eastern Petroleum in Singapore.
Penguin Tenaga is classed under BV with the notation Electric Hybrid and Zero Emission (“ZE”) mode. This notation provides operational and environmental benefits. It helps to ensure the systems operate safely and efficiently, as well as reduce fuel consumption, local air emissions and noise when in proximity to centers of population. BV assisted Penguin by providing guidance on the BV rules and advice to Sea Forrest Power Solutions Pte Ltd (a subsidiary of BH Global Corporation Limited) towards certification of the equipment on board, such as the hybrid electric propulsion systems installed on the vessel.
In addition, solar panels installed on the roof of Penguin Tenaga provide electrical energy that is used to recharge mobile devices on board and supplement the vessel’s “hotel load”.
Singapore, one of the world’s largest and busiest ports, has pledged to reduce greenhouse emissions by 36% by 2030, when compared to 2005 levels. This shipbuilding project is an important step towards Singapore’s environmentally sustainable future and meeting its own green targets.
In a bid to reduce emissions, Singapore is taking a lead in developing hybrid-electric propulsion technology for offshore support and harbor vessels. Currently, there are limited applications for pure electric vessels in Singapore due to the lack of charging infrastructure. However, this could change in coming years as the country electrifies its maritime eco-system to meet the IMO sustainability targets as well as its own sustainability goals. BV has also created a comprehensive guidelines and rules to help the ship owners and builders move towards sustainability powered vessels.

Ghana first: LNG floating regasification unit (FRU) classed by Bureau Veritas

Bureau Veritas (BV), a world leader in testing, inspection, and certification (TIC), has announced the completion of the classification of the Torman LNG floating regasification unit (FRU) at Tema port, Ghana in sheltered waters. The unit is combined with a floating storage unit (FSU) for the delivery of gas to onshore consumers.
This exciting development of Gasfin’s facility – involving the Torman LNG FRU and a Moss-type LNG floating storage unit (FSU), both classed by Bureau Veritas – paves the way for the first deliveries of LNG to a terminal in sub-Saharan Africa and will contribute to meeting Ghana’s growing cleaner energy demand. The volume that Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) will be taking is equivalent to circa 1,300MW of combined cycle power plant capacity.
The 95-metre length, newly built FRU was constructed at CSSC Jiangnan Shipyard in China and fitted with two IMO type-C tanks, and has a storage capacity of 28,000 cubic meters. The LNG FRU is designed for a regasification capacity of around 1.7 million tons of LNG per year and will be in operation for approximately 20 years.
The classification and certification scope, successfully conducted by Bureau Veritas, included the design, review, approval, material certification, and construction surveys of the LNG FRU at Jiangnan shipyard, as well as Tema port. Additionally, Bureau Veritas Solutions Marine & Offshore – the consultative arm of Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore – ensured verification and surveys associated with the design, fabrication, and incorporation of the natural gas send-out heater skid system onto the Torman LNG FRU. During the unit’s service years, Bureau Veritas will be supporting Gasfin’s management, reassuring stakeholders of the structural soundness of the unit and its safety, through regular conformity checks to Bureau Veritas’ classification rules and international standards.

Πιστοποίηση Bureau Veritas για τον ΔΕΔΔΗΕ

Πιστοποίηση κατά ISO 45001:2018 για τη διαχείριση της εργασιακής υγείας και ασφάλειας ταυτόχρονα με την επαναπιστοποίηση των προτύπων ISO 9001:2015 για το σύστημα διαχείρισης της ποιότητας και ISO 14001:2015 για το σύστημα περιβαλλοντικής διαχείρισης έλαβε η Διεύθυνση Ειδικών Εγκαταστάσεων Δικτύου του ΔΕΔΔΗΕ, από το διεθνή φορέα Bureau Veritas
Η πιστοποίηση αφορά στο Συνεργείο Επισκευής Μετασχηματιστών Αθηνών της Διεύθυνσης Ειδικών Εγκαταστάσεων, Γενικής Διεύθυνσης Ανάπτυξης & Διαχείρισης Δικτύου, στο οποίο πραγματοποιούνται εργασίες συντήρησης και επισκευής μετασχηματιστών ισχύος.
Το σύνολο των παραπάνω πιστοποιήσεων επιβεβαιώνει τη δέσμευση του ΔΕΔΔΗΕ για τη συνεχή βελτίωση της λειτουργίας και της αποτελεσματικότητάς του, με αρωγό τα Συστήματα Διαχείρισης Περιβάλλοντος και Υγείας και Ασφάλειας στην Εργασία (ΥΑΕ), καθώς και την πλήρη συμμόρφωσή του με την ισχύουσα νομοθεσία για το Περιβάλλον και την ΥΑΕ.
Επιπρόσθετα, η τριπλή αυτή πιστοποίηση επισφραγίζει τη στρατηγική επιλογή του ΔΕΔΔΗΕ για την παροχή ποιοτικών υπηρεσιών, το σεβασμό για το περιβάλλον και την εξασφάλιση κατάλληλων υποδομών για την ασφάλεια των εργαζομένων του.

Πιστοποίηση της ΕΛΤΑ Courier από την Bureau Veritas για διανομή φαρμάκων

Πιστοποίηση από την Bureau Veritas έλαβαν οι εφαρμοζόμενες διαδικασίες διανομής φαρμάκων καισχετικού υλικού που σχεδίασε, ανέπτυξε, εγκατέστησε και εφαρμόζει η ΕΛΤΑ Courier, αναδεικνύοντας τη στρατηγική επιλογή της διοίκησης της εταιρείας να αναβαθμίσει και να εκσυγχρονίσει τον τρόπο λειτουργίας και τις διαδικασίες της, χρησιμοποιώντας τις πλέον υψηλές προδιαγραφές.
Σύμφωνα με τη σχετική ανακοίνωση, με τον τρόπο αυτόν η ΕΛΤΑ Courier απολαμβάνει πλέον ένα ανταγωνιστικό πλεονέκτημά στην αγορά της ταχυμεταφοράς φαρμάκων, αποδεικνύοντας ταυτόχρονατην προσήλωσή της στη συνεχή βελτίωση των υπηρεσιών της.
Η πιστοποιημένη διαδικασία μεταφοράς φαρμάκων της ΕΛΤΑ Courier, ικανοποιεί τις απαιτήσεις του Παραρτήματος 5 (Annex 5) του Παγκόσμιου Οργανισμού Υγείας (WHO), καθώς επίσης και τις απαιτήσεις των Κατευθυντηρίων Γραμμών της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής της 5ης Νοεμβρίου 2013, σχετικά με την ορθή πρακτική διανομής φαρμάκων, για τα σημεία όπου το Annex 5 δεν έχει σαφείς απαιτήσεις, παραπέμποντας σε εθνική ή άλλη νομοθεσία. Η ορθή εφαρμογή των αυστηρών απαιτήσεων του Annex 5 και των Κατευθυντηρίων Γραμμών επαληθεύθηκε πρόσφατα από τον ανεξάρτητο Φορέα Πιστοποίησης, Bureau Veritas.
Με την πιστοποίηση αυτή, η ΕΛΤΑ Courier, καθίσταται η πρώτη ελληνική εταιρεία ταχυμεταφορών με πλήρως εγκεκριμένες προδιαγραφές, βάσει διεθνών οδηγιών, για το σύστημα μεταφοράς και διανομής φαρμακευτικού υλικού. Σημειώνεται ότι η εν λόγω βεβαίωση από την Bureau Veritas για τη διανομή φαρμάκου, έρχεται να προστεθεί στις ήδη υφιστάμενες πιστοποιήσεις (σ.σ. ISO 9001, ISO 22301, ISO 45001, ISO 14001) με τις οποίες η ΕΛΤΑ Courier, εκσυγχρονίζει τον τρόπο λειτουργίας της και αναβαθμίζει τις υπηρεσίες της, βάσει διεθνώς εγκεκριμένων προτύπων.
Τα τελευταία χρόνια, η έννοια του “last mile”, δηλαδή του τελικού βήματος στη διαδικασία παράδοσης αποστολών στον τελικό παραλήπτη, αποτελεί το σημαντικότερο κριτήριο ποιότητας των υπηρεσιών ταχυμεταφοράς και θεωρείται ζωτικής σημασίας ειδικότερα στις αποστολές φαρμάκων. Νέες μελέτες ανέδειξαν την επίδραση που έχουν οι συνθήκες μεταφοράς στην ποιότητα του φαρμάκου γεγονός που έκανε όλες τις μεγάλες φαρμακοβιομηχανίες να ευαισθητοποιηθούν και να αναζητούν συνεργάτες οι οποίοι θα μεταφέρουν με ασφάλεια και αξιοπιστία τα φάρμακα στους αποδέκτες τους.
Σε αυτή την ευαίσθητη αλυσίδα διανομής, κρίσιμο ρόλο δεν έχει μόνο η ταχύτητα της παράδοσης την οποία υπόσχεται κάθε εταιρία ταχυμεταφορών, αλλά και η προστασία της υγείας του παραλήπτη του φαρμάκου από εξωγενείς παράγοντες, για την οποία η ΕΛΤΑ Courier έχει αναπτύξει ειδικές διαδικασίες.
Οι πρακτικές διανομής φαρμακευτικού υλικού που αναπτύχθηκαν από την ΕΛΤΑ Courier και ελέγχθηκαναπό την Bureau Veritas, πέραν της τήρησης όλων των προβλέψεων της (ελληνικής και διεθνούς) νομοθεσίας για αποθήκευση και διανομή φαρμάκων, διασφαλίζει κατά τον καλύτερο τρόπο ότι:
• Η διαχείριση του υλικού πραγματοποιείται σε όλη την αλυσίδα μόνο από εξουσιοδοτημένο και ειδικά εκπαιδευμένο προσωπικό.
• Τηρούνται επακριβώς οι προδιαγεγραμμένες συνθήκες μεταφοράς και προσωρινής αποθήκευσης, ώστε να ελαχιστοποιούνται ενδεχόμενοι κίνδυνοι από την επίδραση περιβαλλοντολογικών παραγόντων (θερμοκρασία, υγρασία, ηλιακό φως κλπ.) στην ποιότητα των φαρμάκων.
• Εξασφαλίζεται η έγκαιρη και σωστή αποστολή των φαρμάκων στους παραλήπτες.
• Εξασφαλίζεται η πορεία διανομής (ιχνηλασιμότητα) κάθε αντικειμένου καθώς και το ιστορικό του, με όλα τα στοιχεία από την παραγγελία μέχρι την παράδοση.
• Εξασφαλίζεται η δυνατότητα εντοπισμού και ανάκλησης οποιασδήποτε αντικειμένου, σε οποιαδήποτε στιγμή.
