Allianz plans new appointments to the Supervisory Board

The Supervisory Board of Allianz SE intends to propose to the Annual General Meeting on May 8, 2024 that Jörg Schneider and Stephanie Bruce be newly elected to the Supervisory Board of Allianz SE as shareholder representatives.
Jörg Schneider and Stephanie Bruce are to succeed current members Herbert Hainer and Christine Bosse, whose mandates will expire at the upcoming Annual General Meeting due to reaching the age and length of service limits, respectively.
Jörg Schneider, a business economist and lawyer, left the Munich Re Board of Management at the end of 2018 after more than 18 years as Chief Financial Officer. Stephanie Bruce was on the Board of Directors and Chief Financial Officer of abrdn plc, the British asset manager, until May 2023 and previously was a senior financial services partner at PwC.
If Jörg Schneider is elected to the Supervisory Board, it is intended that he will be proposed as Herbert Hainer’s successor as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Allianz SE. A decision on the election of a successor to Michael Diekmann as Chairman of the Supervisory Board is not due until 2026.

Succession planning for the Supervisory Board of Allianz SE will be explained in more detail to selected investors as part of upcoming corporate governance discussions. In addition, all shareholders will be formally informed of this in March of this year with the convocation of the 2024 Annual General Meeting.
New Senior Executive appointments at Chedid Re’s global operations

TD Bank Group Announces New Appointments to Board of Directors

Mary Winston
Mary is an accomplished public-company financial executive and seasoned corporate director. She served as Chief Financial Officer of Family Dollar Stores Inc., Giant Eagle, and Scholastic Corp. and while serving as a board member, was also interim CEO of Bed Bath and Beyond Inc. In addition to serving as a director of TD’s US banks, Mary is a director of Acuity Brands Inc., Dover Corporation, and Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc.
Mary also sits on the Board of the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art and the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), where she is also a Board Leadership Fellow.
Mary was named one of Savoy magazine’s Most Influential Black Corporate Directors of 2021 and was recognized by WomenInc. magazine as one of its Most Influential Corporate Directors in 2019. Mary was also named a Corporate Director to Watch by Directors & Boards magazine in 2017 and one of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Business by Black Enterprise magazine in 2015.
Mary holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin, an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Ajay Virmani
A philanthropist and entrepreneur with more than 40 years of business leadership experience, Ajay is the founder and CEO of Cargojet Inc., a premium global air cargo logistics provider. He is also a member of Cargojet’s board of directors.
Ajay currently serves on the board of The University Health Network and has previously served as a director of Export Development Canada, York University, Invest Ontario, and The Canadian Motion Pictures Screen Awards.
In recognition of his many business accomplishments, Ajay was named Strategist of the Year and one of Canada’s Top 5 CEOs by the Globe and Mail’s Report on Business in 2020. Ajay was also inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame in 2021.
Ajay obtained his MBA from The City University of New York and has been honoured with a Doctor of Laws degree from Assumption University.
Lloyds Banking Group announces appointments to Group Executive Committee

Jayne Opperman appointed as CEO, Consumer Relationships.
John Winter appointed as CEO, Corporate & Institutional Banking.
Laura Needham appointed as Chief Internal Auditor.
Lloyds Banking Group has added to its executive team with the appointment of three senior leaders.
Jayne Opperman is appointed to lead the Consumer Relationships business unit which is part of the Retail Banking Division. The other business unit for this Division is Consumer Lending, led by Jas Singh.
John Winter is appointed to lead the Corporate & Institutional Banking business unit which is part of the Commercial Banking Division. The other business unit for this Division Business & Commercial Banking, led by Elyn Corfield.
All four appointments remain subject to regulatory approval.
As CEO, Consumer Relationships, Jayne will lead the business unit that is responsible for the Group’s relationship with retail customers through branches and online. Jayne has more than 25 years’ experience at a range of financial institutions including Barclays where she was, most recently, COO for the consumer bank specialising in customer channels, technology and using data as a tool to support colleagues and increase personalisation for customers. Previously, she was at Citi as head of Consumer Technology for APAC and EMEA. Prior to these roles she worked in Australia for Westpac and ANZ following eight years’ experience at Lloyds Banking Group in Retail Banking. Jayne will join the Group by the end of this year.
As CEO for Corporate & Institutional Banking, John will lead the business unit which supports corporates with turnover above £100 million, and supports financial institutions. John has more than 37 years’ experience in corporate and investment banking, as well as in retail banking, having worked at several leading financial institutions since 1985. John was most recently at MUFG, where he was Regional Executive and CEO for EMEA with responsibility for all of its Global Markets, Corporate and Investment Banking businesses. He spent 15 years at Barclays, latterly as CEO for Corporate Banking and previously as head of its European investment banking business. John will join the Group on 1 September.
David Oldfield, currently CEO, Commercial Banking, will support the transition to John’s leadership of Corporate & Institutional Banking, and will also continue in his role as Interim Group Chief Operating Officer.
As previously announced, Laura Needham has been appointed as Chief Internal Auditor from 7 September 2022 and brings extensive experience as a banking partner at PwC where she has worked in New York, Sydney and London on international assignments over for the last 22 years.
The appointments come after the Group moved to a new internal structure on 1 July 2022.

New appointments in Zurich’s Commercial Insurance Underwriting

Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich) has appointed Stephen Moss as Group Head of Financial Lines and Cyber, and Andreas Schmitt as Group Cyber Underwriting Manager. Both appointments to the Group Underwriting function will be effective as of September 1, 2022.

Mr. Moss joined Zurich in 2017 as Head of Specialties, UK, and has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. As Group Head of Financial Lines and Cyber he will be responsible for Professional Indemnity, D&O, Financial Institutions, Mergers & Acquisitions, Cyber and Legal Indemnities. Throughout his career, Mr. Moss has held various senior underwriting and broking roles, including Casualty Portfolio Underwriting Director, and Underwriting Director for Financial Risks. Mr. Moss will report to Ms. Robinson and continue to be based in the UK.
Mr. Schmitt joins Zurich from Munich Re where he successfully built strong cyber capabilities as their Head of Cyber, Asia. In his new role, he will work closely with Zurich’s country offices worldwide to ensure a consistent and enhanced cyber underwriting approach and provide product expertise and counsel to optimize underwriting performance. Mr. Schmitt has spent his entire career in insurance and reinsurance and brings more than 30 years of underwriting experience to the role, having worked and led diverse teams on all continents. He will report to Mr. Moss and be based in Switzerland.
Upcoming appointments at SCOR P&C following the retirement in January 2023 of Michel Blanc, CEO of Reinsurance

After 31 years with SCOR, Michel Blanc will retire in January 2023. He will be succeeded as CEO of Reinsurance by Stuart McMurdo. Michel and Stuart will work very closely with immediate effect to ensure a smooth transition and relationship continuity with our business partners.
Stuart joined SCOR in 2018 as CEO of SCOR UK and the SCOR Syndicate, and became Regional CEO for EMEA in 2020. Stuart’s leadership was essential to improve the financial performance of the SCOR Syndicate and to bring together the P&C platform in EMEA.
A recruitment process has been launched to replace Stuart as CEO of the SCOR Syndicate and SCOR UK, and Stuart will remain CEO of these two entities until the end of this recruitment process and regulatory approval. Catherine Fassi will replace Stuart McMurdo as Regional CEO of EMEA and Canada for P&C, effective July 1st, 2022. These changes are a confirmation of SCOR’s deep talent bench and follow recently announced leadership changes in the US

Biographies
Stuart McMurdo has been with SCOR since April 2018 and occupies the role of CEO SCOR P&C for EMEA across both Reinsurance and Specialty Insurance. This includes responsibility for SCOR’s Lloyd’s business, the SCOR Syndicate. Prior to joining, Stuart was the Head of Reinsurance for Santam Limited, South Africa’s largest short-term insurer. His responsibilities included both the buying of reinsurance for the Group and the establishment of Santam Re, a business writing inwards reinsurance from selected territories around the world. Before joining Santam, Stuart was General Manager of one of South Africa’s leading retail brokerages, after spending 11 years with the Hannover Reinsurance Group in various management roles, both in South Africa and Germany. He obtained a Bachelor of Accounting Science and Honours from UNISA and is a Certified Financial Accountant. Stuart has over 25 years’ industry experience.
Catherine Fassi is a graduate of the CentraleSupelec Engineering School. She is also a Certified Actuary and CERA-ERM expert, and holds an executive MBA from INSEAD. Catherine started her career as a statutory auditor at Mazars in Paris, where she took part in consultancy and actuarial assignments for the insurance industry. She joined SCOR in 2013 as P&C Chief Accounting Officer and subsequently held various roles within the P&C Finance team. In 2019 she was promoted to SCOR P&C Deputy CFO, and then in 2020 to SCOR P&C CFO.
Swiss Re announces new appointments in Asia and North America

Swiss Re announced that Ivan Gonzalez has been appointed CEO Reinsurance China and China Country President with effect from 1 July 2022. He will relocate from New York to Beijing. Katie McGrath will succeed Ivan as Regional CEO for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in North America. She will be based in New York. Both appointments are subject to regulatory approvals.
Ivan will have composite responsibilities for all Reinsurance operations in China and serve as Swiss Re’s president in the country. He was most recently the CEO North America for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, a role he held since 2016, offering innovative, high-quality insurance capacity and customised risk transfer solutions to corporations in the United States and Canada. Ivan began his career in 2001 as a financial analyst with Swiss Re Capital Partners in New York and assisted in several corporate development initiatives, including the acquisition of GE Insurance Solutions. In 2006, he moved to Swiss Re Group Strategy in Zurich and was subsequently appointed as CEO Latin America for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in 2011 out of Sao Paulo.
Katie has more than 25 years of experience across multiple roles in commercial insurance. Since joining Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in 2019, she has been responsible for its Accident & Health portfolio in North America. A seasoned leader with expertise in underwriting, revenue and profit growth, integration and change management, product development and strategy, Katie has also been an integral member of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ management team in North America. Prior to joining Swiss Re, she has worked in several senior roles in AIG in New York.

Credit Suisse Group AG proposes new appointments to the Board of Directors

The Board of Directors (Board) is proposing Mirko Bianchi, Keyu Jin and Amanda (Mandy) Norton for election as non-executive members of the Board at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) to be held on April 29, 2022. Severin Schwan, Kai S. Nargolwala and Juan Colombas have informed the Board that they will not stand for re-election at the 2022 AGM. Christian Gellerstad will become Vice-Chair and Lead Independent Director.
Severin Schwan, who joined the Board in 2014 and has acted as Vice-Chair and Lead Independent Director since 2017, has decided not to stand for re-election. Kai S. Nargolwala, who joined the Board in 2013 and has held the role of Chair of the Compensation Committee since 2017, and Juan Colombas, who joined recently, have also decided that they will not stand for re-election at the upcoming AGM. Christian Gellerstad, who joined the Board in 2019, will be appointed as Vice-Chair and Lead Independent Director as well as Chair of the Compensation Committee, taking over from Kai S. Nargolwala, subject to his re-election at the upcoming AGM.

The Board today further announced the nomination of Mirko Bianchi, Keyu Jin and Amanda (Mandy) Norton for election to the Board at the upcoming AGM. Subject to his election, the Board intends to appoint Mirko Bianchi as Chair of the Audit Committee. Mandy Norton would join the Board on July 1, 2022, subject to her election at the upcoming AGM. In addition, the Board intends to appoint the current Chair of the Audit Committee, Richard Meddings, as Chair of the Risk Committee, subject to his re-election at the upcoming AGM. He will succeed Axel Lehmann, who was appointed Chairman of the Board on January 16, 2022.
Mirko Bianchi was most recently at UniCredit, where he served in a number of finance roles such as group Chief Financial Officer for the bank in Milan. His most recent position at UniCredit was Chief Executive Officer of Wealth Management and Private Banking. Over 30 years, Mirko Bianchi has held senior rating and finance leadership roles in leading financial services companies across the globe such as UBS Group, Deutsche Bank and Moody’s Investor Services. He has an MBA from Fordham University, New York, and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from ETH Zurich. Mirko Bianchi is a US and Swiss citizen.
Keyu Jin is a professor of Economics at the London School of Economics, focusing on topics including global capital flows, international technology competition and China’s growth model. She is a non-executive director of Richemont Group and Qingdao AInnovation venture. Keyu Jin was previously a visiting scholar at the International Monetary Fund, and she has taught at Yale University and UC Berkeley. She holds a BA, MA and PhD from Harvard University and is a Chinese citizen.
Amanda (Mandy) Norton most recently served at Wells Fargo as group Chief Risk Officer. She brings with her over 30 years of experience in risk functions across financial services companies including various risk executive roles with JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America. Mandy Norton also served in senior roles at Ally Financial and Chase Manhattan Bank UK. She has a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Bath. She is a US and British citizen.

Appointments at Chubb Limited

Chubb Limited announced that Julie Dillman has been appointed Executive Vice President, Chubb Group and Digital Transformation Officer. Currently, Senior Vice President, Chubb Group and Global Head of Operations and Technology, Ms. Dillman in her new role will partner and work closely with Chubb’s Chief Digital Business Officer, Sean Ringsted, and the company’s senior business executives to lead the company’s transformation, including how work gets done and the skills and technology employed to serve customers and distribution partners. Ms. Dillman will continue to have executive oversight for the company’s global operations and technology.
Thomas Kropp, who currently serves as Deputy Global Operations and Technology Officer, has been named Senior Vice President, Chubb Group and Global Head of Operations and Technology, and will report to Ms. Dillman. In this capacity, Mr. Kropp will have global responsibility for technology, service operations, business resiliency, procurement, real estate and general business efficiencies. Ms. Dillman will retain direct responsibility for certain operational areas including workplace experience and flight operations.
The appointments were effective January 1, 2022. Ms. Dillman will continue to report to Evan G. Greenberg, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and John Keogh, President and Chief Operating Officer.

Ms. Dillman began her career as a personal insurance underwriter and held positions of increasing responsibility including product development leadership and integration leadership roles through multiple platforms. She was appointed Senior Vice President, Chubb Group in 2016. Ms. Dillman received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire.
Mr. Kropp joined Chubb in 2020 from Zurich Insurance, where he served as Group IT Services Officer. In that role, he drove the company’s simplification and digitization strategies. Before Zurich, Mr. Kropp held senior technology positions at Allianz, and at Lufthansa Systems, where he led global digital workplace services, the enterprise data center and introduced a new passenger services system. He received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University in Mannheim, Germany.

SCOR reinforces its Chief Sustainability Officer’s Teams by announcing the following appointments:
Michèle Lacroix, as Group Head of Sustainability – she will oversee an extended team of experts dedicated to Sustainability, including sustainable business, corporate sustainability, reporting and ESG data. They will focus on how to support SCOR in its sustainable development which is a key success factor for its upcoming strategic plan.In this new team, Paul Nunn, currently Head of ESG within the P&C Business Unit, is promoted to Head of Sustainable Insurance and Yun Wai Song, currently Head of Market Risk & Sustainability, is promoted to Head of Sustainable Investment. Paul and Yun will use their deep expertise to reconcile business constraints with ambitious sustainability objectives. Andreas Frank, currently CEO of SCOR Switzerland and CFO of Switzerland and Germany, is promoted to Head of Corporate Sustainability. His strong knowledge in operations and finance will support SCOR’s sustainable journey.
Nathalie Mikaeloff, as Group Head of Communications & Marketing – she will be in charge of internal and external Communications as well as Global Marketing. By combining Communications and Marketing forces, new synergies will emerge through the management of the entire value chain: from strategic positioning to brand & content management, leveraging a multiformat and multichannel approach.Within this new extended team, the current Group Communications team will work alongside Natasha Ashe-Suber, currently AVP Client Marketing and Communities for the U.S. Life & Health unit, who is promoted to Head of Marketing for Life & Health, and Alixane Dauger, currently Deputy Head of Marketing P&C, who is promoted to Head of Marketing Property & Casualty.

Michèle joined SCOR in 2008 as Chief Investment Officer at SCOR Global Investments and has since held various roles within the Investments business unit. She became Head of Group Investment Office in 2014 and became Head of Group Investment Risk & Sustainability in 2019. She is a recognized expert in sustainability, having been appointed a Member of the European Lab PTF on Climate-related Reporting in 2019, a Member of the Technical Expert Group on Sustainable Finance at the European Commission in 2018, and having been a Member of the Climate and Sustainable Commission at the French Financial Markets Authority since 2019. Michèle is a graduate of HEC Business School and is based in France.
Paul joined SCOR in 2011 as Global Head of Catastrophe Risk Modelling, following senior roles at Lloyd’s and in the London insurance market. Since 2019 he has been leading the development of ESG activities at P&C and is actively supporting SCOR’s participation in the Net Zero Insurance Alliance and other industry initiatives.
Yun joined SCOR Global Investments in 2009 as Head of Market Risk, following various roles in the asset management industry. Since 2016 he has participated in the development of sustainable finance at SCOR Global Investments and is actively supporting SCOR’s journey in sustainable investing.
Andreas joined SCOR in 2007 with the acquisition of Converium and was Director of SCOR’s Group Financial Planning & Analysis before being named CFO for SCOR in Switzerland in 2011. Since 2018 he has been CEO of SCOR in Switzerland. He is an active member of SCOR’s sustainability committee and has driven various sustainability initiatives in Switzerland.
Nathalie joined SCOR in 2014 as Global Head of Marketing for P&C, leading the client management initiative and developing a client engagement approach and tools, including CRM-Salesforce. More recently she was in charge of ESG business development, with a view to supporting the development of P&C business with social and/or environmental impacts. She has more than 20 years’ experience in and passion for Marketing and Communications in international B2B services companies.
Natasha joined SCOR in 2020 to lead client marketing & communities for SGL U.S. The team manages multichannel internal and external initiatives including publication/content development, sponsorships, advertising, events, media relations, and employee, community and client engagement; and promotes thought leadership strategies to increase awareness of SCOR’s expertise in the areas of health and wellness, research/innovation and client solutions. Natasha brings 20 years of marketing and communications experience leading high-achieving teams and award-winning campaigns.
Alixane joined SCOR in 2015 to support the transformation of the P&C marketing strategy and operations, from the roll-out and management of the CRM tool to the digitalization of global marketing tools and processes, including event management, content marketing, and operational support to global P&C business and underwriting teams. Alixane relies on her 18 years of experience in international B2B marketing and a solid team to adapt and develop new marketing approaches to engage with our P&C clients and partners.
